The 23 year old fashion designer is coming up so hard, there's no stopping him!
After just one year of studying fashion at Parsons School of Design in New York he launched his first collection and we just fell under his spell. His style is effortless, cool and street. Check out the videos!
WHO NEEDS A DOCTOR?
You need one! These bad boys are so in this summer. The first time I saw Doc Martens was on a lesbian punk rocker chick in my first year in high school. I didn't understand punk rockers then, I thought they were weird but at the same time I thought they were so cool and I secretly wanted to be their friend.
But Doc Martens aren't just for headbangers For example, you can wear them with tights, legwarmers, a cool dress and scarf. But for summer I would definitely rock them "à la Erin Wasson"! Cut-off jeans and a tanktop.
MOVIES TO RENT
I've been dieing to see these movies. I'm really a sucker for teenage romance movies!
"Factory Girl" is about the life of Edie Sedgwick and how Andy Warhol brought her into the spotlight. "Dogtown And Z-Boys" is a documentary about the history of skateboarding (hey I'm still a skater at heart).
ABBEY LEE, WHO IS SHE?
This 21-year old Aussie beauty is popping up out of nowhere. She already has Gucci, D&G and CK Jeans ad campaigns to her résumé. She has appeared in Chinese, Australian and Italian Vogue, V magazine and Nylon.
You might have seen a girl faint (caused by a supertight corset) at the Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer '09 show during Paris Fashion Week. That was our poor Abbey.
What can you do besides brushing the dust off your shoulders? The Abbey Show must go on, and all of us in Fashion Land will be watching. Keep your eye on this one!

RICHARD AVEDON AT FOAM
RICHARD AVEDON - Within the history of photography his ouvre (1923-2004) helped the development of fashion and potrait photography as we know it today. He made such an impact that even till this day fashion professionals and photographers are still influenced by him.
The exhibition is from 13 Februari 'till 13 May and will show over 200 of his best work in chronological order. From his first photograph in Italy 1946 to his last potraits, made shortly before his death, in 2004.
This exhibition (Richard Avedon: Photographs 1946 - 2004) will be shown in only 6 places over the world.

GONNA STUDY FASHION DESIGN!
I live in Amsterdam and there's a design school called "Gerrit Rietveld Academy"
I applied there and had an appointment for them to evaluate my work.
Well they said that I don't have enough stuff in my portfolio (they were so right, even I knew that but I went anyways)and they recommend me to apply for their Pre-College Course. They were, however, very positive about what I DID show them and they told me I was unique. Anyways their Foundation Year would be too intense for me they said & I get what they're saying. But it costs €1560,- damnit! that's alot of money.
But I guess if you compare it to other Design schools it's really nothing.
It's my dream to study Fashion Design at Parsons School of Design in Paris.
I don't know what will happen. If I get to study there and then Central Saint Martins.
Somebody up there likes me!!!
Idk if that's ever gonna happen, but there's no harm in having dreams right?
But I do know what I want my clothes to look like.
It's gonna be High Society meets Street. That's the basic idea, and with every collection I want to include an element of art or culture, maybe inspired by movement in dance, architecture. I dunno, whatever I want to share with the world at that moment.
My clothes are for eclectic youthful women (like myself) who just want to have fun and find depth in life!
That kind of thing!
Designing clothes takes some thought, there's so many things you have to consider.
And I am now just learning! God I don't even know how to sew!!!
But hopefully I will be successful one day!
