POLOROYT
Are you a young up and coming artist in the fashion industry? Are you a photographer, stylist, designer, director, model and you need help on creating a well rounded portfolio?
Poloroyt does just that!
Poloroyt is an initiative by Naphtaly Rooi and helps young artists launch their careers in fashion.
We know the fashion world is highly competitive, and two things matter; skill and connections. In order to get connections you have to prove your skill. Poloroyt will work with you on realizing your project and create a professional portfolio.

"STANGE" IS STRANGE
Iekeliene Stange is a Dutch model (represent! LOL) with the coolest fashion sense. She always used to grab my attention with her bold colors and the way she mixes different styles.
Just thought I'd post some pictures of her. She kinda has this awkward thing about her, but I digg that so much! She's one of my new style icons.

TOPSHOP FALL '09
Topshop is the best thing that happened to this world after Jesus Christ!
My question is when are they going to open up departments in Europe. **cough, cough** AMSTERDAM!
By the way, are you guys also noticing the arm-warmers all over the catwalk this season.
TREND!

LONDON FASHION WEEK F/W '09
What I like so much about London is that they're always on point! London Fashion Weeks are my favourite. And I really have to applaud Michael Kors for his, as he calls it, "understated but glamorous" look. I love how he incorporated a little bit of the 80's by adding shocks of neon to his look.
The students at Central St. Martins also did a wonderful job. One student in particular stood out for me, Laura Mackness. I will post more pictures of her work later. I thought she was brilliant.

STYLE ICON: ZOË KRAVITZ
WE CAN'T AFFORD IT, BUT WE CAN DAMN SURE LOOK AT IT!
The Spring 2009 Couture Week in Paris was quite fascinating. While others kept it minimal, simple and clean (cough cough.. Chanel, Elie Saab, Givenchy). Christian Lacroix and Christian Dior were not afraid to be loud. Really, who can ever stop Galliano from creating?

WHO NEEDS A DOCTOR?
You need one! These bad boys are so in this summer. The first time I saw Doc Martens was on a lesbian punk rocker chick in my first year in high school. I didn't understand punk rockers then, I thought they were weird but at the same time I thought they were so cool and I secretly wanted to be their friend.
But Doc Martens aren't just for headbangers For example, you can wear them with tights, legwarmers, a cool dress and scarf. But for summer I would definitely rock them "à la Erin Wasson"! Cut-off jeans and a tanktop.

ABBEY LEE, WHO IS SHE?
This 21-year old Aussie beauty is popping up out of nowhere. She already has Gucci, D&G and CK Jeans ad campaigns to her résumé. She has appeared in Chinese, Australian and Italian Vogue, V magazine and Nylon.
You might have seen a girl faint (caused by a supertight corset) at the Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer '09 show during Paris Fashion Week. That was our poor Abbey.
What can you do besides brushing the dust off your shoulders? The Abbey Show must go on, and all of us in Fashion Land will be watching. Keep your eye on this one!
