HER NAME IS FEIST

Leslie Feist is a Canadian singer/songwriter. She started out as a punk rocker and now she's a pop, indie/folk artist. She debuted in 1999 with her "Monarch (Lay Your Jewelled Head Down)" album. She released 3 more albums since, her latest being "The Reminder" which dropped in 2008. You may know her song "1,2,3,4" from they iPod Nano commercial.
I personally LOVEEE this woman, her voice is kinda jazzy and hypnotizing. You really don't want to be distracted when you're listening to her.
Just light up some pot and zone out. Total bliss!

ERIN WASSON X RVCA FALL '09

Erin is the MAN! LOL
This woman clearly feels related to that whole Western-cowboy-indian-tequeila shot drinking at a bar- gorgeous woman hitchhiking while smoking a cigarette-carefree type of life. You can just see it in her personal style, in the clothes she designs. I love it! I think she's from Texas, which explains alot!

TOPSHOP FALL '09

Topshop is the best thing that happened to this world after Jesus Christ!
My question is when are they going to open up departments in Europe. **cough, cough** AMSTERDAM!

By the way, are you guys also noticing the arm-warmers all over the catwalk this season.
TREND!

LONDON FASHION WEEK F/W '09

What I like so much about London is that they're always on point! London Fashion Weeks are my favourite. And I really have to applaud Michael Kors for his, as he calls it, "understated but glamorous" look. I love how he incorporated a little bit of the 80's by adding shocks of neon to his look.
The students at Central St. Martins also did a wonderful job. One student in particular stood out for me, Laura Mackness. I will post more pictures of her work later. I thought she was brilliant.

I WANNA REDECORATE MY ROOM

I created this moodboard like a year ago, I just want my room to be light, simple but a little bit eclectic. I like to mix different styles. I was thinking to paint my walls off-white or shell pink. IDK!

STYLE ICON: ZOË KRAVITZ

Daughter of rockstar Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet. She is too cool for school. She's my new style icon. I mean growing up with Lenny as your dad and Lisa as ur mom, all that creative energy must be contagious. And it shows! I love this girl.

LIZ CLAIBORNE READY-TO-WEAR FALL '09

Playful and vibrant are the right words to describe this collection. By the way the bikes will be auctioned online! Keep an eye on the Liz Claiborne website.

WE CAN'T AFFORD IT, BUT WE CAN DAMN SURE LOOK AT IT!

The Spring 2009 Couture Week in Paris was quite fascinating. While others kept it minimal, simple and clean (cough cough.. Chanel, Elie Saab, Givenchy). Christian Lacroix and Christian Dior were not afraid to be loud. Really, who can ever stop Galliano from creating?

THE SECRET INGREDIENT FOR YOUR VALENTINE

Valentine's day is approaching and many of us are clueless on what to do. It's the same old story every year. Hearts get broken, Cupid's arrow missed it's target.
What can you do about it? Here are ten aphrodisiacs to make sure the two of you will get into "the mood".

1. Chocolat - Not exactly and aphrodisiac but it increases the release of serotonin in the brain. Just like sex it makes you feel good. No harm in that right?

2. Oysters - The Romans ranked this aphrodisiac very higly because of the method of consumption and the resemblance to a woman's genitals. This one is for the men, oysters are said to increase testosterone and thus increase the male libido.

3. Getting In Shape - Being in shape or working out increases your selfconfidence. A healthy diet makes you feel energized and you'll feel less drained towards the end of the day. Which can give your love life that extra push it might need.

4. Strawberries - Ladies we know very well the effect of this on men. Need I say more?

5. Avocado - The Aztects believed this to be an aphrodisiac because advocados grow in pairs. It resembeled the male's testicles. The texture of this fruit is smooth and sensuous. Serve as an appetizer. Cut in cubes and sprinkle with balsamic vinegar and freshly ground pepper.

6. Almonds - It's aroma is said to induce passion in a female. Try Marzipan (a sweet almond paste) after dinner.

7. Liqourice - It is particulately stimulating to a woman. Chewing on liqourice root is thought to enhance love and lust.

8. Nutmeg - I've tried this one and you might want to go easy! Sprinkle a little bit in your pumpkin soup or coffee. You'll get a drunken feeling minus the heaviness. It can also cause hallucinations. But don't get any ideas, too much (anything over 4 teaspoons) of this spice can be fatal.

9. Vanilla - The scent of vanilla is said to increase lust. Use this ingredient in your apple pie and feed your boyfriend/girlfriend.

10. Wine - Even though alcohol is a depressant, wine helps you to relax and it stimulates your senses. One glass is enough to do the trick.

ALEXANDER WANG UP & CLOSE

WHO NEEDS A DOCTOR?

You need one! These bad boys are so in this summer. The first time I saw Doc Martens was on a lesbian punk rocker chick in my first year in high school. I didn't understand punk rockers then, I thought they were weird but at the same time I thought they were so cool and I secretly wanted to be their friend.
But Doc Martens aren't just for headbangers For example, you can wear them with tights, legwarmers, a cool dress and scarf. But for summer I would definitely rock them "à la Erin Wasson"! Cut-off jeans and a tanktop.

MOVIES TO RENT

I've been dieing to see these movies. I'm really a sucker for teenage romance movies!
"Factory Girl" is about the life of Edie Sedgwick and how Andy Warhol brought her into the spotlight. "Dogtown And Z-Boys" is a documentary about the history of skateboarding (hey I'm still a skater at heart).
